Here we go
Again X
Welcome! I'm an 18-year-old Swiss and Danish lad passionate about climate tech and grid-scale energy storage. I love startups and work as the Head of Task at the Entrepreneur Club Winterthur. Let's shape a sustainable future together!
Plus when this comes out, happy Swiss National Day everyone 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭
Interrail: Inter-rail with my Friend Massimo was great. We got to see four cities in 8 days and had a blast we also meet and made some friends also the way. We started our journey in Paris, then took the longest train day of them all to Edinburgh. From there we then took the train to Manchester. In Manchester, we went and got a tour of the Old Trafford stadium which was great. We then took the train to London. London is always lovely, there we also meet some of the people I meet in Villars.
Ironman Switzerland: Not much to say, most probably the thought day I have ever had. I had a cold swim, it was freezing cold even in the neoprene suit. Coming out of the water I heated up fast and I had a good first round on the bike. The second round was also good, yet towards the end, I could slowly but sure feel the heat coming in. On the bike, it wasn’t too bad as I had the wind brushing past me, but as soon as I stopped and started running it hit me like a way. It took me ages to finish the run and I had water at every aid station and but ice in my cap. Afterwards, I was informed that the peak temperature was 38.5*C, which is not what I had trained in. But never the less I finished and I am super happy I pulled through. This will definitely not be my last Ironman.
Camp True North: This has been an absolutely lovely week, this was the last of the three camps and I started with the first camp before Corona and I did my second one last summer. The bond you make with the people in this camp is unreal, also learning from a Special Ops soldier on how to master life there is just something about it. This being the last of the three camps, this one was all about making it real and taking the learnings and implementing them in real life. Where in the first camp it was all about your personal development and in the second one about your social development. This one took it to a new level. With the skills, we learned in hand, one of the challenges we got was the paper-clip challenge. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it is when you get a paper clip and then have to trade it for something bigger or better. Within 10min of trading and talking to people my team and I had a TV in our hands.
Things Happening next month:
Birthday: On the 30th of August, I am turning 19. I am kind of looking forward to it but also not sure what exactly I am looking forward to. Most probably the great cake my mom always makes and having some time with family.
Schwyz triathlon: With Ironman done and summer break coming to a close it is back to racing. I will start this part of the season chill with a sprint distance 400m swim, 10km bike and 5km run.
Working day as hike: There is nothing really special about this but for the Start-up Nights, we usually have your meetings in one of the two offices we have in Winterthur. Yet we are changing it up for the last meeting before it starts to become really hectic. We are going for a hike and having our meeting in the beautiful Swiss mountains.
School start: School starts again, I am in some ways looking forward to it again the people there and going back to “normal” I guess from summer break. What though pains me the most is that I lose about 7 hours a day that I can’t work on my own projects.
